Surah Taha Ayat 72 Translation Tafseer

Para 16 - قَالَ اَلَمْ

سورة طه

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

20.72

قَالُوْا لَنْ نُّؤْثِرَكَ عَلٰى مَا جَآءَنَا مِنَ الْبَیِّنٰتِ وَ الَّذِیْ فَطَرَنَا فَاقْضِ مَاۤ اَنْتَ قَاضٍؕ-اِنَّمَا تَقْضِیْ هٰذِهِ الْحَیٰوةَ الدُّنْیَاﭤ(72)

Kanz-ul-Irfan

They said, “We will never give you precedence over the clear proofs that have come to us, and by He who created us, you may do what you desire;[1] you can only take action in the life of this world.

Commentary

After becoming believers, the sorcerers told Pharaoh to do whatever he wished and they were not concerned in the slightest. From this, we come to know that the true believer’s heart is courageous, especially in the matter of faith; he does not fear the harm of people. It has also cleared that far from being a prophet, the father of the Qādiyānī cult was not even a believer, as he did not perform Hajj out of fear of the people. A hadith reads: “None from among you can be a believer until Allah and His Messenger are most beloved to him, and that he would prefer to be thrown into a fire rather than return to disbelief.” (Musnad Al-Imām Aḥmad: 13150)
